German Marines in East Africa

Bringing in the heavy hitters! The German Marines were involved in East Africa beginning with the Abushiri Revolt as naval landing force, providing a much needed boost to the defence of the German East Africa Company possessions. These iconic troops had to be part of the equation for my german forces so I got to pairing some of the lovely Copplestone Casting minis which I think are the best marines going, with a few NCOs from Pulp Figure which are larger than the other marines in their range.

They must’ve been sculpted by some else or deliberately made to be larger for some reason…they are a good deal bigger than the other Pulp marine packs. Anyone, this works for me as I have some nice variation to add to the Copplestones, who one could say, probably lack a little bit of pose variation if any criticism could be levelled at them at all.

With no further ado here are the Marines!

NCO with rifle and blue sash is the Pulp figure…fits in very nicely. The sword waving Officer is also from the Pulp marines pack.

..whilst the Copplestone sculpts lack dynamic variation I think they work very all together to convey a moving unit effect that has ‘cohesion’…one more pack for variety would be nice 😉

….probably the best shot to highlight how well the Copplestone and Pulp figures go together…let’s see them one more time!
